The Pink Sands trail is a short 1/2 mile hike that starts near the natural spring water spicket at the Pine Flats campground. This trail is relatively flat and parallels Oak Creek. This area is great for bird watching and fishing. The towering ponderosa pines provide nice shade for hiking on a warm day. The trail ends at a beautiful canyon that would involve some major rock climbing if you wanted to hike into it.
